Slow progress over the years.
#1
My kit has progressed slowly over the years since I started re-enacting, thanks to the help from individuals in the RMRS and other groups I have been with.
However, nothing ever seems to be quite 100% with any of them.

This one was before I made belt hangers to attach to the seg to stop the belt sliding down! Thanks to Nerva for that one.

My first outing in a Hamata, exposing the flaws in a subarmalis designed for a seg, when used for
mail! Belt slip with a different result!

Mostly together in this one, however, the choice of sword was probably not
the best decision. But what the heck! Irritating to notice after the fact that the seg shoulder plates are sitting proud of the manica. Should have opened them a little.

Later Roman, could have done with a sword for the period.

Archery, as all Legionaries were trained in the use of the bow, amongst other missile weapons!

Wow, a very impressive depiction of the evolution of a roman warrior during the centuries! An icing on the cake would be an impression with the Budapest helmet Wink...

A demonstration of the differences between the ages.

A Triumphal Parade in Roma. A rare thing in the Princapate, I think!

Thanks for your generous words. I see so many faults though.

Hopefully one day Jyrki! Still a lot to do before that can be worn with anything appropriate.

Thanks Dave! It helps to look at yourself and see where you are going wrong, and what
is working! Not easy at an event unless someone points out the problems.

Of course, this is the sort of image that raises so many questions in your mind as to what
about your impression stands out...

Such as.."Does ma Bum look big in this???"
