What\'s your favorite musician/band

The title says it all. I'd like to find out what reenactors typically listen to. Maybe there's a demographical trend and everyone on this website loves Led Zeppelin, who knows? Tell me what you listen to!

Deerhunter is good! I'm not particularly well versed with Bradford Cox but he's the pale and lanky frontman to Deerhunter right? I remember reading an article on him using shock tactics to elicit reactions from his crowd. I like it.

Rush, Tower of Power, Classical Music, soundtracks

My favorite Classical piece is "Sabre Dance". Every time I hear it I think of a Fat kid chasing an ice cream truck.

Rush is great. For some reason I can imagine late roman reenactors listening to a lot of rush. And I haven't heard that one, but I will check it out. Sounds interesting.

Hope this doesn't sound too pretentious, but I listen more for songs than artists or genres.

On the other hand, if I were to pick a few at random from whom I like a good bunch of songs, they'd probably be pretty predictable: Helloween, the Beatles, Enya... At the moment this here is my favorite thing to listen to, particularly the intro.

This is a bad record. But a good song. And - when was it? 1989! Moscow residents do not like the residents of St. Petersburg and vice versa. But the "Secret" gives us peace Smile
"Hello" - 1987 ...

I agree with Dan, I listen mostly for songs. Many of them just happen to fall in a particular genre.

I am still stuck on what I liked in my college years--ska and 80s British punk. My favorite band has to be The Mighty Mighty Bosstones.

Lately, I have become very interested in Viking metal.
There are some who call me ......... Tim?

I'm really into classic rock - Zepplin, the Rolling Stones, Lynyrd Skynyrd, etc. Classic metal also draws me in - my own big three are Iron Maiden, Metallica, and Black Sabbath. I really couldn't pick any favorite.

That's great! If you haven't heard of Amon Amarth, I would suggest checking them out. They are top tier melodic viking metal. Might not be cut and dry "viking metal" but they sing about the eddas and all of the norse pantheon and legends, so it's viking metal to me. Great replies!

Nice. I like how no one caught it.
