All "Bowie knives" are Hollywood,we have no real idea what the knife Jim Bowie made and,fought his famous duel with looked like.

All jokes aside,this one is a pretty accurate replica of a type common by the 1860's in the U.S. and,had already been given the *Bowie* title.
The local museum has several of the type from the U.S. Civil War...but,no xiphos or spatha,go figure :grin:
