Fabulous picture of a section in a ditch - my favourite thing!

NOT quite so sure about finding a Legion's number on a coin, however; mistranslation? (I hope...)
Moi Watson

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, Merlot in one hand, Cigar in the other; body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO, what a ride!

I think the best thing that archaeologists could hope for would be some bits of pottery, for this tends to give better dating type of evidence.
It might be a good idea for them to do a few more cross sections on those ditches and even some wood might give some good dendro'.
