This is the new one, it kind of replaces both AH2002 and the one I have (AH2004 I believe). The scabbard and blade are far better, but that hilt needs work.
Hello, I guess depending on what you mean by reenactor not sure if i'd call myself one. I just love duel with my friends. My scutum is smaller augustan style. i think the sword is magnus i can't really remember.
I just got a new Kopis today, and the scabbard has a very tight fit. I guess that is what you get for $47 dollars. Very nice sword for the money though, and has great brass hilt I hope that my gladius will come in soon!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, Merlot in one hand, Cigar in the other; body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO, what a ride!
I guess spathas could be allowed... I should have called this "show off your Roman weapons". Evan posted about the spatha that he will work on, so I am now opening this topic to all Roman edged weapons.
Made by our very own XorX with bronze work done by Stefan.

Thank you Vindex for changing the thread title. Your Hod Hill style spatha looks excellent! Very good work by XorX! Scabbard looks great! Grip, pommel, and guard absolutely gorgeous! Bronze work is superb!
