Acclaiming the Greek Invention of a Civic Identity
The ancient Greeks introduced the idea of a civic identity, but unlike campus and salon Marxists claim they also upheld the ethnic principle, far from practicing citizenship politics "regardless of sex, nationality, or race".
I never thought otherwise, but apparently there are scholars out there who believe the Greeks did.
