Trip to Germany
#16
I have a related question!

How easy is it to walk from Xanten railway station to the archeological park? It looks fairly okay on the map, but these things can be deceptive... Is there an entrance to the park from the town side, or does the visitor have to follow the road around the walls to the north-east entrance?

Also - how do you pronounce Xanten in German? Is it... Zanten? :-)

Nathan there would be an 15-20 min normal walk (about 1.5 km/ 1 mi.) is what I actually experienced.

There are 3 entrances to the park the one you mention is the old one and is very far away, you can enter coming from the town (just follow the signs) or you can head to the museum (some 300 m further)

That sounds like the best option - thanks Gelu!
