Late Republic Gladius Hispaniensis
#1
Here's my new Late Republic Gladius Hispaniensis by Eric McHugh of Crown Forge.

https://crownforge.net/2016/06/12/late-r...paniensis/

It's a very lively sword as you might guess from it's weight.

It looks great but I went to the link and there is one thing as far as I can see.

It's not gladius hispaniensis but his "interpretation of a late republic era Gladius Hispaniensis".

Maybe I'm wrong (since I don't have big knowledge about gladiuses) but I haven't seen gladius find with such shape.
Tho I would love to see to increase my knowledge about shapes of gladius.

PS
Did it cost around 1000$ like at the bottom???

Very nice indeed Smile I do like those narrow Gladivs profiles, and I agree the balance looks great. What Scabbard are you thinking?
