When I was translating Tom Fischer's book (out September) I was fortunate to find an old German-English shipbuilding glossary. There were four languages involved in the final chapter of the book: English, German, shipbuilding English, and shipbuilding German. I could cope with two of them (just) but the other two were so esoteric I would have been lost without that glossary (although having read O'Brian books definitely helped too)!
