What Crispianus said: depending on soil conditions, some bones may be preserved for a long time but in others, they quickly vanish. 

About the shackles, maybe he was sacrificed alive, the armour being part of the ritual. This was a normal thing in the area after all.

...as a local newspaper had it: There may be a more sizable exhibition about the newer finds in 2023.
