I just voted to rename to Arena by mistake... That would have been second choice... I want to keep OT as is but with the least amount of censorship... when we do recounts, will we have do do the "hanging chad" thing to decide voters real intentions?

Besides, I'm from New Mexico where people get to vote as many times as the like as long as they use the name of someone who is dead or something... I think New Mexicans, Louisanaians, Chicagoans and RAT members who from come from any culture of election fraud should be allowed multiple votes. To deny us that is a sign of Cultural Insinsitivity, and anyone objecting should be censored.

Remember, election fraud and bully politics are an honerable and standing tradition in Roman culture.
Um, well, I come from western Canada--so if you feel it necessary to subract my vote from the 'Keep it the same' tally, I'll understand. We're used to having our votes count for nothing out here. emoticon of resigned acceptance
Well, we COULD have our cake and eat it, too. IOW, leave the OT section as-is, but add an "Arena" as well, where no topics are taboo, no moderating is done, and what is said there, stays there. All rules on decency and the milk of human kindness are suspended.

That, of course, could become the most popular place on RAT, and draw visitors who don't visit the other forums but just stop by the Arena to fulminate and flame.

But at least I could refer duels of digital honor there. Marquee could read: "TONIGHT: Dan the Dragon vs The Defenders of Old Europe, and so forth.
If I've understood you, the Arena could be the place where anyone will can enable the suspension of the virile politeness and respect among the members. I guess that in the Arena will be discussed freely and bloodly about politics, religion and any HOT matter... No problems to me, even if I think that, to avoid to loose totally the respect among the members, it ought change the akas: any member that likes to enter the Arena (at own risk) will introduce himself with a new aka. If not it could be a suicide for RAT. What do you think about that?
Well, Hibernicus, what I meant to say was a ladies' own section, but.. well.. the way you put it here, "exclusive ladies".. Well, yeah, best not go there.
So, what I meant to say was a separate section, just for the ladies. That better?
