Roman Food Warmer
#1
I originally posted this in off topic, but just copied it here for more to see and appreciate. I hope it's Ok.

Hello,
It's been awhile since I've been here.

I just saw this and thought of RAT. I've never seen a Roman food warmer before and I'm sure a lot of you haven't either. I didn't even think they had those or thought of them.

Here's the link to the auction selling it.
https://www.hermann-historica.de/en/auct.../id/896534

I've added an attachment of the item incase the link doesn't work.

"On the outside, opposite the connecting shaft to the tall cylinder, an elaborately worked, fully plastic handle, which has an identical counterpart on the opposite side of the tall cylinder."

Eh?

I believe that "fully plastic" in this context means it's sculptured in three dimensions.
