Professor Kurt Raaflaub has died. He spent his entire career at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, where he was Professor of Classics and History (1978-2009).
Although he published widely on Greek and Roman subjects (e.g. joint editing War and Society in the Ancient and Medieval Worlds, 1999; joint editing War and Peace in the Ancient World, 2007), members of RAT will perhaps know him best for his editorship of the Landmark Julius Caesar volume (2017).
