Brown grolsch? We only get Green bottles over here- is it different, or is it simply pretending to be.

talking of legionary drinks I've been having great fun drinking the red wine vinegar/water mix, the latin name of which i've temporarily forgotten, in front of my lass. She thinks i've gone crackers.

Nope, i've found it now. It's posca. It's actually surprisingly good. the recipe i saw was 1-4 parts vinegar - water, but that was still pretty acetic. I reckon somethign between 1-6 and 1-8 was more pleasant, but it's a case of personal preference. It's actually surprisingly refreshing
