Mosaic from Vatican Museum wanted
#1
Avete Omnes,

to make my garden look more Mediterranean, I want to paint the following mosaic as a little fresco on an unsightly garage wall.

(funny thing, I can't open directly as an image Sad )

But I regrettably only found a black and white photo with the reference 'Vatican museum'. Does anybody here in this forum coincidentally have a color picture of it and could he / she post it here or send me an email?

Thanks in advance - Uwe

Hi Uwe,
The image is too big to be linked in your post. If you downsize it too below 500*500, the board will allow it.

Jasper,

thank You for the advice, but it didn't help. I downsized it to 390 x 460, and even when I downsized it more, it didn't work. :?

Next time, rightclick the picture and click Properties. There you'll find the link to where the image is stored.

I asked:

o.k., it didn't need much fantasy to mix some colors ...

Next you'll be plastering the brick work and then painting the bricks back on! Crazy Romans!

Good job though.

Jasper, Graham & Ivan,

thank You for Your friendly words. Indeed, I would have preferred to paint also the mosaic frame around the fresco as is shown on the original. But I had to respect the taste of my better half ... Thus such paiting at an area that covers the interest of the whole family is a compromise. Also the other two paintings received alterations:
