Hinds was also suitably brooding in Persuasion, a Jane Austen adaptation, which is where he first caught my eye. Surprised to hear he was in Excalibur - I must've blinked! Haven't really seen enough of him in Rome yet to know if I'm impressed, but we've only seen 2 episodes so far on the Beeb.
