Hi,
allow me to present another of my reconstructions. This is the Spatha sheath decoration fron Poetovio (the sheath is still in the making). I tried to reproduce the uneveness and minor imperfections of the original design, that shows very well how little Roman craftsmen were concerned with right angles, exact spacing etc. in such matters. The bottom picture shows the work under way, which took about 8 rekittings.
cheers,
Martin
