The strangest helm of all time?

Yes, I think I know the one you mean, you can't miss it......

The enemy is less likely to get wind of an advance of cavalry, if the orders for march were passed from mouth to mouth rather than announced by voice of herald, or public notice. Xenophon

Pegaso models has a miniature of a Renaissance Knight in "Roman Armour" (XV century) with such a helmet!:

I would rather have fire storms of atmospheres than this cruel descent from a thousand years of dreams.

Oh yeah if it's not the codpieces, it's that cursed Chastity Belt Higgins has.

Sometimes the kids figure it out, but it's usually the adults who get all giggly and pointy and asking if it's real (it's not)

Oh yeah there's also the Foot Tourney armor (Maximillian style) that has a bright blue "skirt", if I had a nickle for each time....Sigh...Something with a rather simple explanation but brings SO many modern social/moral questions, people can make things way more complicated than they need to sometimes

The Renaissance interpretation of Roman art is just amazing. There are some great parade "Roman" pieces from the Renaissance in the Philly Museum. Fabulous stuff.

The Renaissance was the start of Baroque.
Not only fine arts but armor making started following the trent.
Kind regards
