Greetings,
Quote:In the Yorkshire Evening Press this week, The Treasurer's House in York is recruiting staff to show people around the Ghost Cellar (where Harry Martindale saw the Roman Legionaries). Since I live in York, I am thinking of applying ...
I was going to put a link to the details of the Seasonal Ghost Cellar Guide post, but on checking out the National Trust website today ([url:3ebznyeg]http://www.ntjobs.org.uk/Cand/Vacancy/VacVacancySearch_SummerPlacements.asp), I couldn't find the advert. Nor could I find it on the Yorkshire Evening Press job website ([url:3ebznyeg]http://www.thisisyork.co.uk/york/jobs/).
Annoying, if not plain spooky hock:
Now, should I also apply for that job.....if it reappears....

The enemy is less likely to get wind of an advance of cavalry, if the orders for march were passed from mouth to mouth rather than announced by voice of herald, or public notice. Xenophon

The closing date is 9th February. There are recruitment open days on 25th & 28th January, 10.30-12.30. Tel: 01904 624247 for further details. However, it's only 9 hours per week (as two half days), and at £5.72 per hour, you'd spend most of your pay on the train fares from Scarborough :!:  I can only consider it as I could walk to the Treasurer's House.
I haven't been to the House since the Ghost Cellar has been routinely open. I wonder if they'll let me have a squizz on the recruitment open days ...
