Castra Pretoria
#1
Avete,
I've casually noticed that there is a new section at the bottom of RAT, the 'Castra Pretoria'.
It is stated that only 'vets' with 500 posts or more can post but, when you try to get in, a password is asked for (I shan't say that I didn't guess it... )
Should we address to the optio for getting the watchword?

Aitor

It\'s all an accident, an accident of hands. Mine, others, all without mind, from one extreme to another, but neither works nor will ever.
if i´m not mistaken, this should be corrected for you by now (i´ve mentioned your name with the optio)

EDIT: or maybe not.., Your name has been added to the list, maybe your account must stil be given clearance (we´re doing a background check on you now. We have photo´s of you in "certain positions"
Professionals built the Titanic, amateurs built the ark
I believe the tesserarius is a bit late on the rounds... but you ARE on the access list, and three others have been able to access w/o passwords, so I'm not sure why you can't. Please try again and let me know offline if the lockout continues.
PS If anyone gets missed, it is not deliberate. Do let me know if you have your requisite 500 posts and have not been invited to the ranks of the Praetoriani.

Antoninus, I just noticed you have over 1,000 posts. Did you want a custom title, or do you prefer to ascend to the higher rungs of the cursus honorum?
Jenny,
I thought about that for a while..
First I figured that "Domineus et Deus" would do fine.
Then I thought maybe it was a bit too much.
Divus? Nope. Ain't dead yet.
I browsed through "In house Master of the World", "His Serenity" and stuff like that, until I came upon "Court Jester". I liked that..
But no, seriously, leaving it just as is will do just fine.
..And I still can't get into the Castra, BTW..

Edited by: Antoninus Lucretius at: 5/9/04 1:37 am

hmm, I wonder if I have made 500 posts or not... maybe I should say more?
"Just before class started, I looked in the big book where all the world's history is written, and it said...." Neil J. Hackett, PhD ancient history, professor OSU, 1987

It looks like you do have 500, Craig, but since you're going to be joining us as a Mod, you'll have access to the Castra anyway. I'll see that you get upgraded.

Are there any other "500s" out there?
There is no password, Titus. If you are on the "access roster" you should be able to enter the forum. Does your computer allow cookies?
Okay, that's just weird. Well, let's talk offline. Email me. If anyone else with 500 posts is having this problem, get in touch.
