Prayers for a gladiator
#1
To all you students of the munus who read this, please take a moment to pray for John Ebel, "Maximus" of the Long Island Ludus Magnus. He is fighting an opponent more insidious and frightening than any in the arena: cancer. John is a good, funny, and enthusiastic presenter of munera, important for keeping the public aware of what the gladiator fights were really like and fomenting appreciation of those men (and women) who faced death in the arena. All of us who know him pray for a complete recovery, and all of your prayers will be a comfort and support.
Thank you
