Seleucid kings
#1
I put on-line a list of all Seleucid kings (and one queen) at ([url:1fo1uak3]http://www.livius.org/se-sg/seleucids/seleucid_kings.html). There are links to fact sheets on these rulers, which contain links to Appian, Polybius, and various other sources on this dynasty.

Yep, that's necessary to become a Seleucid. To become a Hapsburg, you needed to have that typical jaw. The admission requirements for the Julio-Claudian House are flap-ears.

Greetings,
earlier when trying (and I mean trying) to clear up my hard drives, I came across this 1st century bce 'Ptolemaic Queen' and noticed the ears.....???

The enemy is less likely to get wind of an advance of cavalry, if the orders for march were passed from mouth to mouth rather than announced by voice of herald, or public notice. Xenophon

She is probably Berenice IV; the bust is in the Capitoline Museums, where you can see a lot of statues with flap-ears.

I have now added all Ptolemies, Attalids, Antigonids:
[url:z3tpfnek]http://www.livius.org/ps-pz/ptolemies/ptolemies.htm (scroll down a bit).
[url:z3tpfnek]http://www.livius.org/as-at/attalus/attalids.html
[url:z3tpfnek]http://www.livius.org/maa-mam/macedonia/macedonia4.html#Antigonids
At the same time, many queens have received files as well.

If you are looking for a specific person, perhaps the best way is to start here: [url:z3tpfnek]http://www.livius.org/scrap.html, because at the moment, these are just file sheets and I do not consider these articles as finished, so I will not announce them in my general index.

That's fifteen Ptolemies, thirteen Antiochi, ten Cleopatra's, eight Laodice's, six Seleuci, five Demetrii, four Arsinoe's, four Berenice's, four Stratonices, three Antigoni, three Apame's, three Eumeneses, three Philips, two Alexanders, two Phila's, one Eurydice, and one Perseus.

Near-Eastern and Egyptian rulers before Alexander will be made available in the not too distant future, but the Achaemenids are here [url:z3tpfnek]http://www.livius.org/aa-ac/achaemenians/achaemenid-kings.html and the Roman emperors are here: [url:z3tpfnek]http://www.livius.org/ei-er/emperors/emperors01.html.

Great Big Grin .....I have developed quite an interest in the Diadochi .... and the succesors....
Interesting....that Philip V has the tilted head of Alexander in the sculpture...and Perseus looks like Philip II on the coin...
