Thermopylae:Advance!
#1
This is a scene from "Gates of Fire". A Spartan commander orders for more reenforcements.

I have not spent months gathering Hoplites from the four corners of the earth just to let
some Swedish pancake in a purloined panoply lop their lower limbs off!

Good work.
Herodotus talks of Leonidas exchanging units by allowing the hoplites of each city state to fight in turns. I think you captured the moment nicely.
If you strive for extra accuracy may i suggest that the earth in the area is rather more "brownish" and the Kalidromon rocks gray. Hope you don't mind.
Kind regards

Stefanos,
Thanks, I'll keep this in mind! How narrow was the Thermopylae pass?

According to Herodotus the road was wide enough for two ox-charts to pass leaving just enough space for a man between them.
That would allow extemely thick depth foe the phalanx ranks.
