Should RomanArmy.com have an Equipment Section?
#31
I could probably do some web work if supplied with material...

Suppose we started with an outline 'sketch' of what would be in an equipment section, that is, just the verbiage, which could be filled in with the appropriate images and text when available? That would allow for ad-hoc submissions, which is more what all us volunteers are good at.
Legio XX
Taking it as an outline, it could be organized along either equipment type or time period. If you have a database it could be cross referenced, but here goes:

e.g:

helmets
Montefortino
type
description
where found
other depictions
paintings
sculpture
Coolus
type
description

armor
mail
gallic
republican
imperial
description
construction

have to think about how webpages would cascade from this...

(silly shame ezboard won't see tabs, but they're there anyway)
Legio XX Caupona Asellinae
Edited by: RichSC at: 2/12/05 1:51 pm

I think the re-enactment & reconstruction section already deals with that, doesn't it?

Yes, but not in any structured way that's easy to use and hardly any pics, right?
