A new Recruit from Citerior Tarraconesis
#1
I am originally from Nashua, New Hampshire but have been living in Hispania since 1974. My presently living in Complutum, Citerior Tarraconesis.

I am very satisfied living in a country with so many ancient Roman remains. There never is a moment where one does not come across ruins related to the romans.

Gaius Julius Caesar spent time in Hispania before is conquest of Gaul as a Quester & after defeating the remains of Pompey´s Legions.

Hispania, without a doubt in my mind, is only second to Italy & Rome itself. We probably have retained more of Rome´s History than Italy itself.

By the way how does one add on his personal photo & military rank ? I have tried several times with no results.
Hi Lucius,
Welcome to RAT from one Tarraconensis (Conventus Cluniensis) to another one!
To add your photo you need to have it hosted on one Internet site (the ubiquitous photobucket will serve) prior to follow the instructions. About the rank, I'm afraid that it goes with your number of posts and it rises authomatically, starting from miles gregarius (a long way until you become legatus augusti... )
It\'s all an accident, an accident of hands. Mine, others, all without mind, from one extreme to another, but neither works nor will ever.

Thank you Aitor, for the Photo posting and military rank promotions. I will try to work the photo out.

I expected to hear from you when I posted as a new recruit. We met in May 2 year ago in the City of Cesaraugusta, when it reopened it´s Museum in the Plaza de Pilar.

I was with the IV Macedonia Legion and we from the V Legion of Complutum acted together under the direction of Ricardo Cagigal.

You spoked to our Centurion, Lorenzo de Val about your making of caligas & officer boots.
You' re welcome, Lucius (it took me some time before I was able to post my own photo...)
Oh yes, I remember, you was the English speaking man who went with Lorenzo and the tall guy!!!
We're going to be at TÃ rraco Viva this year but not at the very city. This time the organization has scheduled us for the Roman mausoleum at Centcelles (that with the mosaic dome). If you don't know the site, it could be a good chance for doing it!
Aitor,

We were 2 English speaking men. I was the one that was suited up as a officer, Prefect of The Camp (Praefectus Castrorum) for that event.
The other English gentleman, who speaks no Spanish, Steve Hamblin originally from the Legio II Augustus (UK) was the one that wore no helmet during the entire event.

The tall fellow is Miguel Diez de la Espada, he is from our group the Legio V Complvtvm and is also, member of the Orgenomescos, and others relating to Vikings and Dark Ages.

I will try to get some photos on the URL to send you them.
Lucius,
I didn't mention Steve because I thought that you already knew that I had picked him from Bilbao airport and carried him in my car to Zaragoza (Therefore, there was no risk of mistake on my part...)
I look forward to see your pics!
Salve Lucius Traianus!
I'm from the Tarraconensis too, from Barcino exactly.
You have to post tour pic in a jpg format.

Just when I was getting accostumed to the former web page and finally posted my photo it was renewed to this present format.

I was unable to login on my former name Lucius Cornelius Traianus and to re register I had to use a new variation of the i in Traianus for a j to re register.

I prefer my former and How can I recover it for log-ins ?

Are other members having problemas ?

Sorry to cause so much hassel. But I am testing to see if this works.

I have followed your steps Jasper, but having problems to recover my real e-mail address. I can only see the one they have assigned me.

Thank you,

No probs. During the conversion, everybody got a nonsense emailadress (aren't you glad you can't harvest mailadresses from Ezboard with a simple script?), so go into your profile (top of the page) and update your email adress. You'll need to reenter your password to confirm.
