Salve! I'm a first time poster; moderate time reader.

Well, guess my interest in Rome started with the movie Spartacus. Kinda hooked after that on history and especially the history of Assyria, Greece, Rome, and Parthia. Besides, always used to play soldier with the boys in the neighborhood. I'm a tomboy.

I'm originally from the West Coast but I study at a major university in the Midwest. I'm here because I'm interested in Roman military and just seems like a neat place.

I'm a student/academic almost done with undergrad. work. With interest to Rome my areas of emphasis in philosophy (if you can tell my the handle). Lies in Ancient Philosophy (Egypt, Greece, Rome, Middle Ages) with a concentration in ethics/socio-cultural impact, and metaphysics.

You can tell I'm a student I've written this long post in what could be summarized in about six sentences.
What is a poet? An unhappy person who conceals profound anguish in his heart but whose lips are so formed that as sighs and cries pass over them they sound like beautiful music. Soren Kierkegaard Either/Or
