Beautiful, Christian!! Big Grin
Which kind of umbo do you plan to use? 8)

Aitor
It\'s all an accident, an accident of hands. Mine, others, all without mind, from one extreme to another, but neither works nor will ever.

Thanks for the flowers! Smile

Well, I only painted now and then, for after several hours, I always was fed up with it for a while... So it was rather a 9 step painting, with one step a month... ( I started painting the decorations in August )

Aitor, I don´t know which umbo is going onto the shield. It´s for a member of my former group, the Populares. I just painted it. I am happy that I don´t have to make the rest, actually, this was a hell of a lot of work. All in all some 100 hours, I guess. If he would have had to pay for it, it would have been quite expensive... It´s all freehand painted, and as close to the original as I could make it. Smile

That is a real talent you have there!

Now here is the finished shield. All that was left to do was painting the backside, add the writing, and give the front the punic wax coating. The shield is not polished yet on the pics,so there are some irregulaities visible. But the polishing was not part of my work...

Is the blue the interior, or another shield?
