Oohh, not Camden mate. That's London, where all the soft southern shandy drinkers are

Er...my mistake, I mean Camden, New Jersey, USA. Which is across the river from Philly, PA.

So my ancestors left Liverpool around 1865. I'm I still a scouser?

On a more OT note, who are the Liverpool players on England's team?

The scorers

Gerrard, Crouch, Warnock, Carragher, Carson.

Here's the who's-from-which-team list:

Rooney's a scouser as well, but has played for both archrivals of Liverpool; Everton and now Man Utd (aka, Filth). Owen made his name at Liverpool but now plays for Newcastle Utd (lovely lad).

Don't know if you'd still be classed as a scouser. I nominate you for being one given your roots Big Grin

Damned on both counts

Owen is a much better role model than Rooney just a pity he can not score at the moment. Shearer from Newcastle was another gentleman and that is a part of the world where they wear even less at all times of the year, especially around Whitley Bay. In fact the Roman re-enactors up there stand out because they are wearing so much, the softies!

Owen still owns a house a few miles from mine but his is slightly larger

They tell this joke about the Phillies and the Flyers!!

Just for the record. Philadelphia has four professional sports teams:

The Chokes (aka The Eagles)

The Chokers (aka The Flyers)

The Chokies (aka The Phillies)

And the Chokety-Chokers (aka 76ers)

The team cheer for all is the same: The Heimlich maneuver.

The one thing I did learn while in that English pub was to say "Beckham" in the same tone as you'd say "Child Molestor"

It's kinda like being from Idaho or New Jersey in the states. Who else would claim it except those that are really from there? Big Grin

I was raised in Vegas, so whenever I hear someone say they are from Vegas I say..."Really? Where?" Chances are they are from Henderson, The Lakes or even Pahrump!! None of those are "Vegas". There ain't nobody claimin' Idaho.

Italy vs. US.

A game with a lot of suspense.

America will have its a** handed to it in a...

a.) Paper bag
b.) Gucci hand bag
c.) a salami skin after being fed through the grinder

I'd say C. You never know what's in those sausages. Tongue

I'm just watching Chechia (or however it is spelled) / Ghana, and Ghana leads with 2:0. Who'd have thought that. But they're fun to watch, not afraid of the more experienced teams at all.

Hehe, it was a fake Gucci bag at best.

Aside the fact that all players have automatically qualified for the next kickboxing WC, it's surprising how disoriented the Italians - outnumbering the US team by one - stumbled around on the field.

Are you sure this joke isn't about the Italians and USA?!

How embarassing! Either God loves us or hates the Italians.
