Future conquests of Alexander/Eskander
#1
About seven weeks ago, a Dutch journalist in Tehran, Thomas Erdbrink, decided to adopt a cat that he had found on the street. The little cat was called Eskander, the Farsi name of "our" Alexander. If you look careful at this picture, you will see that Alexander has decided to reconquer Iran from the north.

And if you're able to read Dutch, this link leads to Erdbrink's website, which is one of the nicest blogs on the web.

I have not spent months gathering Hoplites from the four corners of the earth just to let
some Swedish pancake in a purloined panoply lop their lower limbs off!

The enemy is less likely to get wind of an advance of cavalry, if the orders for march were passed from mouth to mouth rather than announced by voice of herald, or public notice. Xenophon
