GMT GBOH Caesar
#1
Anybody here play these games? I have not had mine too long, and use the Simple Rules to avoid all the dice rolling.

Just finished Thapsus (solitaire) and at one point a unified charge by the Caesarians would have finished off the Senatorials. But the rules as I understand them do not permit this. Is this realistic? How do you guys who play miniatures handle this?

Also, all my experience has been with the Marian legions. Anybody tried the games that cover the earlier battles that use the Republican legions? Do you get a sense of the difference in the legions?

Feel free to email me if you play these games and want to talk about them.
Well, most miniature rules are not loaded with as many strange game mechanisms as the GBOH series, so you don't get anywhere like the same problems with the sort of thing you describe.
Strategy
