Gates of Troy
#1
Greetings,
on checking out 'Spartan', after seeing it in a gamestore and deciding whether to buy it, I came across Gates of Troy and downloaded the Demo.
This game is not only about Achilles, Hector and the rest, but also includes Thermopylae...
Leonidas and Demophilus of Thespiae are the hero leaders in the Demo...(Paul A....are you reading this...?)
Campaigns are:
The Trojan Wars
The pass of Thermopylae
Greek Colonization
Pre-Historic Greece
The Ionian Revolt
Grand Campaign with Rome & Persia
plus if you have Spartan loaded (which I probably will do soon) you can play all their campaigns too
You can even decide how much tax to levy and how much food people need, while increasing your hoards of gold...so any budding tyrants may find this game amusing...!

The enemy is less likely to get wind of an advance of cavalry, if the orders for march were passed from mouth to mouth rather than announced by voice of herald, or public notice. Xenophon

Philip said that the Athenians were like the bust of Hermes: all mouth and dick.
