Well it was kind of late last night, but here is what I remember: This is not a Japanese production but is rather a dubbing of the old TV series. Apparently Cleopatra's son (I think by Caesar) and a whole legion escape to a hidden place in Africa where they remain undiscovered for almost two thousand years. Over this time their culture declines (I imagine a bit of inbreeding as well.) They eventually come into conflict with Tarzan. Of course Tarzan wins. Sorry I can't remember anymore.
