Quote:theres a scotish castle in berkeley springs wv too

I've been there. It's a Victorian whimsy right? It was pretty small too.

The most famous American castle is probably William Gillette's in upstate NY or like CT. Unfortunately, it's starting to crumble.

ya the berkeley springs castle was a bad idea that went worse when teh old guy died. his widow finished the jo with duct tape and plywood hehehe. its no longer a museum. its owned privately and i believe under reenovation. i dont know if it will ever be open again.

the castle in ohio was worth the trip. small. but kinda neat on some levels

I am very bummed that the castle list doesn't have the "Mars Cheese Castle". Sad

Neat list. Too bad people weren't interested in building replica Roman forts or at least fake ruins here in America.

Talking about Castles, I found some modern castles around my state,
& my city.

There is a virging Castle, 30 minutes from my house,
in fact there are much more, but the the one I shall present you,
first, is the one I like it no one live there, I would like to make it suitable. its still small for me but I like it,
because have Arches that reminds me those red ones in the basement of the Palace of Constantinople( Byzantium) & else where there.

There is one at front of my church, that got burn by a Vandal once,
but restored... Franklin Castle, Its stairs is the las one on the video
[Image: newroof-4.jpg] .

Thisone is Fulton Castle, just at 3 minutes from my house,
i think its the oldest Castle around, it does have old bricks etc.
I shal take better picture in winter when it looks clear, its right the on a cliff wich i dont like it.

If you are retired, or like to have vacations, I
think the best deal,
is to be a member of one of those vacational resources,
I was a member of one, & perhaps soon I shall be a member again,
you can rent real Castles in England or Spain etc & much more.
