Romans Vs. Giants!
#1
So I was listening to Coast to Coast AM last night (for those of you who aren't acquainted with the 2nd greatest radio show in history, check out [url:1lop254q]http://www.coasttocoastam.com[/url]) and there was a gentleman on talking about giants and tiny beings. I decided to check out his webpage today after the show, and found this picture. I thought that the artwork was pretty impressive, and the accuracy isn't too bad.

EDIT: It won't let me hotlink it, since it's too big. I've used the link instead of the picture.

Needless to say, I found it pretty funny seeing Romans fighting "giant" Germans, who were probably only 6' or so...

Giants never were a problem for Romans

Remember only the story of the name giving of Antwerpen in Belgium. There a giant sat near-by a river and terrorized the ships that came along. This plague was only ended when a Roman soldier arrived and killed the giant. After the tale he cut off the giant's hand and threw it into the river (in Dutch "throw a hand" means "hand werpen (origin of Antwerpen)".

BTW, nice painting style, remembers me to King Angus (McBride), hope he continues his good work with more Roman heroic deeds.

But clearly they were giants. The picture is there for all to see.

This picture is from an original late Republic fresco, right?

it's easy to stab through mail when you duck tape a sharp and pointy object to a freight train and ram the mail clad target
