Publications on shipwrecks and their contents?
#1
Reading the topic Dazzling discovery in waters off Spain: 1st-century vessel and bearing in mind what interesting finds the Comacchio shipwreck yielded, does anybody know whether there are any other Roman shipwrecks with small to medium finds besides amphorae or other pottery wares that are published?

I remember one complete belt and sword form Porto Vechio shipwreck, published by E. Künzl. [url:3l2c1wvi]http://www.archaeologie-sachbuch.de/cat21.html[/url]

Some shipwrecks are publicated with all his material, because it's a closed found.

What abot the NAVIS project? Probably have some interesting information.

That work is mostly a catalogue of shipwrecks, with bibliographical notes, if published, a description and so. It's very well made, but don't hope to find here the archeological material published.

Thanks for pointing that out - if it contains bibliographical notes, as you say, it might still be worth it in the long run :-) )
