Clasp helenistico
#1
It seems to me to be interesting to share the reconstruction of this clasp for " lorica hamata " of decorative style helenistico, particularly that I know they are all of Celt.

Where was the original piece found?

Do you have pictures of the original?

Hello, Gabriel!

It's a computer reconstruction or a real reconstruction? If it's real, who makes it?

Are at Sevilla more military items? I know the apron terminals from Aznalcazar, used in my apron reconstruction.

It is a computer reconstruction extracted of the original fragment. In the archaeological museum of Seville there is a room dedicated to the Roman army, but they have very slightly materially on the military equipment(team) of the soldier, practically only the hangers of the belt found in Aznalcazar's tomb. This piece of the clasp of a lorica hamata is in a private collection.

Thanks. Can you put some pictures of the Aznalcazar's items? I only know it by drawings, of the Aurrocoechea's publication.

Good, I will send the images in the minor possible time.

Cesar, I could not have obtained better images, my excuses. In this burial is observed that the owner lost someone of the original hangers and was later rechanging them for others of similar design, this fact should have been common enough between the Roman soldiers.

J. Aurrecoechea Fernández apparently publishes quite a lot on military belts. Would anyone happen to know (and be able to share) the citations for the article(s) in which the items from this tomb are published? Or any other publications they might have by other authors? I would be most grateful.
