Ave Civitas,
Does anyone know where I can find a description of the burial of the Emperor Constantine the Great?
I have searched Google and perhaps I am not using the right search keys, but I don't get much of anything describing the burial, or even when he was buried (how long did he lie in state in the Hagia Sophia?)
Thanks.
Tom,

You can try here:
Javier Arce, Funus Imperatorum: Los funerales de los emperadores romanos, Madrid, 1988.
ISBN: 8420670685.
A problem: it's in spanish.
Another book:
J.M.C. Toynbee, Death and Burial in the Roman World, Baltimore, 1996.
ISBN 0-8018-5507-1

Emperor Constantine was buried at the Church of the Holy Apostles in Constantinople.
Take a look at:
Dark, K. and F. Ozgumis (2002), "New Evidence for the Byzantine Church of the Holy Apostles from Instanbul." Oxford Journal of Archaeology 21: 393-413.
Eusebius, Life of Constantine, IV, 60.

Ave Civitas,
I want to thank you all for your response to my inquiry. It has, as always, been great.
Comerus Gallus Romus. Thanks for the great pictures. I have been to the Archeological museum in Istanbul too, but never to Venice.
I appreciate all your help.
Ioannis. Thanks for the links. I will subscribe to at least one of those magazines listed as soon as I get a chance
Thanks again guys. It is great.
