I was thinking of using the narrower Dorchester strips rivetted on to hold the thinner strap- would you recommend stitching as well as rivetting?
Also, I've lined my the back of red leather belt (100mm wide) with goatskin.
I am thinking of overlapping the goatskin over the top of the red leather, stitching, and then using the longer Dorchester belt strips as both stiffeners and as an integral part of the belt construction- ie a rivet through the overlapping goatskin at both top and bottom (as well as the middle rivet) to further hold the leather together. Hope that makes sense...your thoughts?
