In Greece there is no Byzantine reenctment group.
A very hap-hazzard bad quality attempt happens in local "liberation day" festivities like Messolongi or Chios.
The best official renactmet was done in 28-10-1990 when a company of the 3/50 infanty regiment parade in WWII uniforms with the drill used at that time. It was spelndit :!: :!: :!:

Well Media people hate it when instead a bunch of publicity hungry raving weirdoes ("Psonio" we call them here) they face normal folk who know their stuff. I still cannot forget the incredulus expression of the reporters when we explained them the mechanics of phalanx fighting :twisted:

Just seen it.
The most decent coverage we got on the Greek T.V. so far.
I of course mentioned that ancient reenacting is a worldwide phenomenon and that forums like help combat geographical distance.
