C.D. Buck: A Grammar of oscan and umbrian Boston 1904. p. 234-245
oscan= etruskian -latin mixed tribe
Translate this text:
VALAMIAS PUKLUI PUN FAR
KAHAD NIP PUTHAD EDUM NIP MENVUM LIMU PI
Latin translate:
VALAMEA FILIO CUM FAR
CAPIAT NEC POSSIT EDERE
NEC MINUERE FAMEM
(QUOQUAM....EURUM)
Etruskian-hungarian translate:
Vala egy más puklu abban bár
kapjad, nip tudjad edüm
nip menvüm élejmü bé.
Hungarian language now:
Volt egy más pokol abban bár
kapjad, ne tudjad enni, nem menvén (az)
élelem be.
Wait you another hell, You have eat, but You never be able to swallow it.'

Oscan is an East-Italic language, closely related to Latin (a Western Italic language), but not at all to Etruscan.

Greetings,
the Runic script is interesting...some of it looks the same as the Futhark, some reversed...
My first thought on seeing the DSC00090jpg was 'Runes back to front'
Just found a reference to this in my Edred Thorsson 'Runelore'....
Negau the inscription is North Italic/Etruscan
regards

Quote:Funny, here in Portugal the Celtic cross is hated. Why you ask? Well, a couple of years ago, a group of extreme-right decided to use it as their symbol and painted it in the walls with racist comments.
Ugh, first those Nazi idiots decide to use the twisted cross as their symbol, they screw over Germanic Pagans (which I am a practitioner of) and next they decide they want to tick off Celts by using their symbol as one of hate? Well being mostly German and Irish I can tell you these deluded racists need a good kick in the teeth.
Sorry about that, lifetime of putting up with their crap.

The ghastly priest doth reign
The priest who slew the slayer,
And shall himself be slain."

Quote:Hello.
I found this website:
http://www.mult-kor.hu/cikk.php?article=10688 .
Italian linguist professor say : The Hungaryan language a dialekt from the Etruskan language. The culture and language same thing.
I see neither an Italian name, nor a link to a site in Italian, so forgive me if I'm a little sceptical.
