Ιts real but the state has downplayed it in Greece along with other stuff.
Τhey have even sealed pellana with concrete and rabble the mycynean palace of 2700 bc .Pausanias mentions them and the oldest one is 2720 bc i think. Pausanias ,Ellados Periegisis (Corinthian 25,7).
The universty if Edinburgh and Democritus foundation dated them 2500-3000 bc but the Greek state says its hellinistic! and then it says it was built 400 bc.

They have even tried to shut down any tour there there was even a mention in the news few years back when Democritus refused to comply with the greek state policy to change the date and then shut it down.Same thing with pellana.

I don't understand, why wouldn't they promote this? After all, this shows that some transfer came directly from Greece to Egypt, rather than the majority of cultural transfer which went from Egypt to Greece. It effectively establishes these monuments as being the progenitors of the great pyramids.
Ruben

He had with him the selfsame rifle you see with him now, all mounted in german silver and the name that he\'d give it set with silver wire under the checkpiece in latin: Et In Arcadia Ego. Common enough for a man to name his gun. His is the first and only ever I seen with an inscription from the classics. - Cormac McCarthy, Blood Meridian

This will certainly give fuel to the Bosnian Pyramid promoters. :?

What are the dimensions? In the one article you posted Themistoklis, it listed 7,03 x 9,07μ. My Greek is non-existant but are these metres?

This indeed seems to be Bronze Age, but is it a pyramid?

Well, between Argos and Nauplion there is a place called HELLENIKON and there is a construction like the one Robert attached and an obscure sign calling it the "PYRAMIS OF HELENIKON" and only in Greek which is surprizing since Nauplion wants to draw tourists!
Kind regards

The page in democritus is in english as well. The 2 english links are old as and required access back then so forget it.Its an old issue along with pellana. In the interview about Pellana the under-secretary of culture simply told us to wait a while and then they buried the area with rabble causing much damage. Then they refuse to comment on it.
Why do you think they havent released Pellana and this to the public? There are much more then those. Our history is being buried by the greek goverment and stolen by foreigners.I have the interview and the issue on video i ll try to find it and youtube it.

wow the greek state .....

i dont get the reason why they try too make people belive that they are from the hellenistic era? its not like if anyone would claim the pyramids non greek i mean if it wasnt built by anyone in the hellenistic period it was probebly built by myceneans or minoans or earlier from dorians , ionians and what was the third ones called i cant remember .

or are the greek goverment afraid that aliens will come in the future and clame the pyramids and greece as theirs? Big Grin

I read that structure in the photo was a watch tower or fort. I think it is in a book I bought in Athens!

Pellana was Lacedaemon (the city) and was unearthed a few years back. Its was dated 3000-2500 bc and stopped by the ministry of culture with actually no reason other then something that appeared to be a political clash about to who archaeologist it was going to be attributed to.I ll find the tv show for it and youtube it.The minister was taunting everyone with his behaviour but in the end he got his way.
