Consecrated?
#1
Salvete!

I have a question and I hope someone can help. We all know about emperors often either being consecrated or recieving the damnatio after death.

I looked through this list at livius.org and started to wonder about the emperors in the 4th century. They were christians except Julian but were still head of the religio Romana and the majority of the population and senate was not christian as well. Does anyone know if they were actually consecrated in the "old" way and still became a divus although themselves christians? Or to ask the other way round, does anyone know if Julian recieved a proper "pagan" consecration and burial?
