Twice on the Newsfeed today: the Tomb of Herod has been found:

But that's not news at all: Flavius Josephus already said that Herod was buried at the Herodion. The coverage in Haaretz was better:

all well and nice, but i still do not believe one bit of it untill they come up with at least an inscription about Herod somewhere on the mausoleum/sarcophagus itself.......

If it's of interest to somebody - on Russian news TV programme were showed short interview with one Jewish Russian-speaking archeologist, who participated in these excavations and he said that inside of the tomb there are many signs, that the tomb was destroyed in the Ancient times - many broken things - so it's obvious that there's no remains of Herod and no treausers described by Josephus. Which is sad.
