 In WV both the moose, and the bear would be in the freezer!

Oh my. First, this thread is about bears in Canada. My comment about irony was probably ironic, but this might be too much...

That´s what the smileys are for, actually, to make the face you would make saying whatever you write sort of visible.

Just for comparison:

I hope you didn´t miss the subtle irony in my statement... :?

I hope you didn´t miss the subtle irony in my statement... :x

I hope you didn´t miss the subtle irony in my statement...

I hope you didn´t miss the subtle irony in my statement... :o

I hope you didn´t miss the subtle irony in my statement... Sad

Mark: The smiley I used was to transport a friendly mood.

Also: What I meant by the statement was: "Hey, I didn´t actually MEAN that the bear should get a nuclear bomb on his head. I think it´s funny how you guys came up with bigger and bigger guns, and thought it might be funny ending this by conjuring the mightiest weapon of all."
So "subtle" was ironic.

If someone sees it differently he might be paranoid. Also, if I were to see an attack against my national pride or personal integrity in every other statement someone makes, I´d better stop communicating, or learn to keep it to myself, instead of intitiating the next avalanche of modern political discussion in a forum where such discussion is not appreciated.

Well my first thought would have been to save the poor moose.
I know it's nature, but I wouldn't like to see that right under my nose.
Animals bearing arms...of course..did I mention that when I was young, I always thought that guerillas were gorillas who carried guns....!
(and probably not the only one... )

I have told you a hundred million times, we Americans don't exaggerate, and that includes Canadians, United States citizens, and Mexicans, (plus all the billions of legal and illegal non-citizens who are here either temporarily or for life!).

Well, it's surfers' stuff, I explain: BEAR is the (imaginary) surfboards brand

by the surfboards shaper called "Bear" in the John Milius' movie "Big Wednesday"

A "gun" in the surfers' slang is usually a board long (not exactly a "longboard") for the BIG waves. In the pic I posted above you can see the famous scene where a drunken and ruined Bear give to the surf champion Matt Johnson the last surfboard he shaped just for the biggest wave of the biggest swell ever (see the Bear logo on the surfboard...).

No sea in Switzerland, eh? Big Grin oops:

TITVS/Daniele Sabatini

desinet ac toto surget Gens Aurea mundo,
casta faue Lucina; tuus iam regnat Apollo ...

I don't care what you kill it with, moose burgers are pretty tasty, I've never had bear though.
If you trully had kuhonas you'd take a bear with a pilum, and if you shoot sparks when you walk you'd use a gladius.

Siberian hunters worth their salt take a bear with the russian equivalent of the bowie knife. Yes there are tribes in Siberian Taiga mad enough to still use this practice :!:
Local legent says a man will kill 39 bears and find his nemesis in the 40th!

Kind regards
