Looks great, Chuck ! I especially like the deep red colour of the scutum, usually the reconstructed colours are too bright in my opinion! I will perhaps make also a scutum with a Chi-Rho monogram...

Sword I'm not sure of, but afaik the belt does no longer show up on early 4th images. Or, you could re-paint the scutum. That's cheaper for sure. :wink:

Looking good, I esp. like the boss. You might make a later belt and, an earlier scutum and, then you've pretty much got both periods covered .

I think I've seen some that are simple "sticks with leaves" but, I'm not sure. I'll get back on that.

May be sounding stupid here (but whats new) but are you going to treat the inside of the leather with neatfoot oil to get rid of that fresh new leather look?
