That has to be your most dynamic work to-date. So much to look at (love the pezhetairoi in the background cheering on their king!).

WOW!
It would be very interesting to see the different stages of your work, from initial drawing to the finished picture. Great work Johnny! Greets, Decebalus/Andreas Gagelmann

It is, indeed, a fantastic drawing and I am a great fan of your artwork.
Perhaps I am wrong but I was under the impression that most people now believed that cuirass to belong to Arridhaeus rather than Phillip II?

Quote:It is, indeed, a fantastic drawing and I am a great fan of your artwork. There is still much debate in this, wich means not "most people" believe anything. The most popular candidates are Philip,Aridaeos and even Alexander himself. No further analysis on the bones is allowed(don't know why),so there is no way we can be sure about anything really. All parties have many convincing points(yes, even those who supposrt Alexander have some good points) and I find it suspicious that the museum does not allow additional analysis with newer technology. Also I was dissapointed that the bones are no more in display in the new museum in Vergina. Giannis, of course you are right, in terms of archaeology it is very rare that "most people" will ever agree on any one theory. What I meant was that whilst I was studying, and the people who I have worked with that have had access to the finds seem to feel that it is most likely not Phillip II.
I do not accept the theory that the mismatched greaves were made for an archer, but they would also seem to be the wrong way around considering what we know of the wounds that Phillip suffered. However, I am sure that I don't need to tell you that here in Greece, and especially in Macedonia, Archaeology is 50% politics and people often find what they want to find, or whatever best serves the current political thinking.
