You know when you are a Roman reenactor when .....

a zombie outbreak doesn't seem like that big a problem.
the inside of your garage looks like a Roman Castra Fabrica.
your backyard and back of your house looks a little more Roman every year.
the last vehicle you acquired was a two wheeled cart.
you made a 1st Century dress for your wife.
you own tunics in more than three colors.
you buy a lottery ticket every week so you can build a Legionary Fortress if you win.
your grandchildren play "Romans and Barbarians" rather than Army or Cowboys and Indians.
you have built more than one dozen shields in the last 12 months.
your wife has forbidden you from digging a fossa in the FRONT yard.
building and codes wants to know why you have Sudis stuck all over your property.

You want to major in Classics even though there is no job market and you'll live in a van for the rest of your life.

....the tandy leather store clerks know you by your first name.
....you are disappointed to trace your family tree and find only Vikings and other barbarian kings as your lineage.
... you worry about people on the other side of the planet getting their uniforms and equipment right.
.... you start a thread titled "You know when you are a Roman reenacter when ....." and it goes on and on!

You carry a neck-purse with gold dollar-coins as "aureus" to pay for things at the store, because it's more period.
