I was recently looking at Projekt Generationes on the VIII Legion website, the German one. The Legionary from 350 AD, is this a accurate sheild form the time period?

I would not get worried as to the shape of late Roman shields. You can make a case for large oval, large round, large dished etc. And I'm sure somebody probably will. Legionaries could be issued with small shields when acting as light troops. Shields are something that could be turned out by the local factory, as well as the large major supply factories.
Get one of everything you can think of. Including heavy practice shields and light parade shields.

The question of exact size and form of the Late Roman shield, reminds me of the "tunic wars".....
