I find it strange that the decoration is only on the lower cross hanger of the scabbard which makes one ask the question why not also the upper cross hanger.
In the report, the upper section wraps around thscabbard, and is not broken on the opposite side,
the lower hanger, the opposite side to the intact ring is broke, which I imagine is the basis for the reconstruction drawing with 4 rings.
I am guessing, the top one is a repair. Leaves the question as to why repair it with only one ring mount though....

It's quite light, and smaller than some models I've held.
