In Michael Grant's "Dawn of the Middle Ages", there is a picture taken from a 11th century antisemitic manuscript kept at the Biblioteca San Lorenzo, at the Escurial Palace, near Madrid.
The picture shows two men bent over two coffers and above one of the men's head is a little nazi flag.
In this case the swastika turns counter clockwise and although the pix in Grant's book is black and white, I vaguely remember seeing that picture in color and the little flag bears the colors of the nazi flag, i.e. red background and a black swastika on a white roundel.
Strange.
